Typhoon (タイフーン, Taifūn) is an enemy in Bomberman World and Bomberman Portable.

Description[]

Bomberman World[]

In Bomberman World, Typhoon appears on Planet Wind. It resembles an electric fan and moves slowly, chasing the player, but only changes direction every four tiles. If the player aligns horizontally or vertically with Typhoon, it will stop and fire a projectile. The projectile flies in a straight line, will harm the player in contact and will only disappear when it collides with a wall, or a bomb. Collision with Typhoon itself will also damage the player. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 200 points.

Bomberman Portable[]

In Bomberman Portable, it is found in Mech World. It has the ability to trigger a gust of wind from the fan when the player is close to push him away, it also disables for a certain period of time, any bomb (except Remote Control) present in the range during the process. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 1500 points.

3D Bomberman Atomic[]

It first appears in Stage 07. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 200 points.

Trivia[]

  • A similar enemy, Tokei, appears in Super Bomberman 5. Its physical appearance is a walking cuckoo clock and features more or less the same patterns.
