Tamagon 5 (タマゴン 5, Tamagon 5) is an enemy in Super Bomberman 5.

Description[]

Tamagon 5 appears in Zone 5. It is a giant happy egg with 5 smaller eggs following it. It always moves forward at a slow pace, and always turns to the right after colliding with a wall or other obstacle. It will only turn left when the path to the right is blocked, and will never reverse direction unless it goes into a dead end. It will pursue the player if he or she is within 4 tile spaces, even diagonally.

If one of the smaller eggs within Tamagon 5's body is destroyed, the rest of Tamagon 5 will break apart and scatter. The head will resume it's normal pattern of movement, but at a faster pace. The smaller eggs will run around aimlessly, constantly running back and forth, or turning at intersections only to turn back the way it just came, resulting in those pieces remaining stuck in the same general area. The head of Tamagon 5 has 2 HP, while each part of its body only has 1 HP, each yields a score of 100 points. If the head is destroyed without any other body part having been hit, the rest of Tamagon 5 will also be destroyed. Both Tamagon 5 and the body segments will harm the player on collision.

Tamagon 5's head will always yield a Rooi Egg upon destruction.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Tamagon 5" comes from the Japanese word "tamago", meaning "egg".
  • The enemy is very similar and works pretty much the same as Bakudan 5.
  • Tamagon 5 will not produce a Rooi Egg if 2 of Tamagon 5's smaller eggs are already on the screen.
