Pitch Area is a feature in both Bomberman Max and Bomberman Max 2.

Description[]

It basically allow to send/receive areas from one version of the game to another, areas that are unique to one version and are not present in the other. It is required in order to access a 100 % savefile and get the true endings.

Bomberman Max[]

In Bomberman Max, the system is done through the use of the Game Boy Color infrared sensor. By connecting a second Game Boy Color, with a different version of the game, the player could send areas to the other player or receive them. There is a total of 40 areas (20 for each version) that can be pitched. The player can only send one area at a time and it must be cleared first before it could be sent.

Bomberman Max 2[]

In Bomberman Max 2, the system reappears, and is done through the use of the Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable. Similarly to Bomberman Max, by connecting a second Game Boy Advance, with a different version of the game, the player could send areas to the other player or receive them. There is a total of 40 areas (20 for each version) that can be pitched. The player can only send one area at a time and it must be cleared first before it could be sent.
