Trivia[]
- Pine's name is derived from the pineapple fruit, and refers to not only her yellow color scheme, but also the nickname used for the type of grenades she wears in her hair as bobbles.
- Pine refers to herself in the third person, and specifically says "Pinyan", which is a portmanteau of her name and "nyan", the Japanese onomatopoeia for a cat's meow.
- It is very likely that Pine has a superiority complex due to her being a genius.
- The "Pretty Bombers" idol group refers to the character Pretty Bomber.
- Pine's profile quotation regarding "waste, burden, and recklessness" alludes to the Toyota Production System management philosophy; the “muda, mura, muri” sees “mura" (inconsistency) replaced by "mudou" (recklessness).
- Interestingly, Pine is the first Bombergirl to be initially revealed in a comic. She was first seen in a comic tweeted on October 11, 2019, which is five days before her initial teaser silhouette was shown. After the teaser images started to be posted, Pine was then seen in another comic on October 18, three days before her official reveal; in the comic, both her name and rank were made known.
- Pine has the clover (♧) as a symbol, while Momoko has a heart (♡), Prune a diamond (♢), Melon a spade (♤), and Blueberry a joker (⬠), which all allude to respective playing card suits. Among the Pretty Bombers, Pine is the "Ace of Clovers".
- Pine's magic wand, the "Ultimate Magical Potato Masher" (アルティメットマジカルポテトマシャー), was originally conceived for Momoko. It is clearly inspired by the German "Stielhandgranate", which was commonly referred to as the "potato masher" in British army slang; more specifically, the design takes after the "improvised bundle charge" of six M24 grenades surrounding the original grenade attached to the stick handle.
- Pine's bag is shaped like the classic Bomberman enemy character Pass. In addition in her swimsuit costume, she is wearing shoes with Pass motif. She also has a small Pass tattoo on her back (visible in her Win Pose, in her beach outfit). Pine's grenades in her hair also remind a bit of Pass ears.
- Pine is the 15th playable character in Bombergirl, and the fourth Blocker.
- Pine is tied with Momoko for being the fifth-smallest in the Bombergirl cast, with both girls standing 142cm.
- Pine is a featured character in the new, upcoming Konami arcade game Chase Chase Jokers. As part of participating in the location test, those players who did so had first access to her CCJ outfit and accessory in Bombergirl.
- Pine is a featured character in the Konami arcade game Mahjong Fight Girl, making this the second time she has crossed over into another franchise. She sports a brand new outfit, and her promo video showcases Momoko, Prune & Melon with her.
- In June 2024, Pine was given a new additional skill in the form of the "Ultimate Pine Wall", which generates a 4x3 chunk of blocks instead of a single four-block line.
- Pine is a high school girl, according to character dialog where she states such in Mahjong Fight Girls.
