Pikarin (ピカリン, Pikarin) is an enemy in Super Bomberman 2.

Description[]

Pikarin is found in Stage 5. Its behavior differs depending on whether or not the Light Switch is turned on. Pattern-wise, it is the opposite of Kuragarin.

When the Light Switch is off, Pikarin moves quickly, constantly pursuing the player. In this mode, it has an angry expression on its face.

When the Light Switch is turned on, Pikarin moves slowly in a straight line until it collides with a block, bomb, or other enemy, at which point it pauses and then chooses a random direction and continues to move. It may choose to reverse directions even if it is not at a dead end. In this mode, it has a tired expression on its face.

It will harm the player on collision, and takes 2 hits to defeat and yields a score of 200 points.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Pikarin" comes from "pika", a Japanese sound effect for a flash of light, which refers to Pikarin being the light opposite of Kuragarin.
  • In its artwork, Pikarin is tired. This refers to its appearance when the Light Switch is on.
