Minvo (ミンボー, Minbō), also known as Minbow, is a recurring enemy in the Bomberman series.

Description[]

Bomberman (NES)[]

They move like Onils except moderately faster, with their speed being slower than that of Pass and Pontan. They resemble orange smiley faces with buck teeth and frequently open their mouth and raise their eyes. These are encountered after the Dahls, debuting in stage 4. They will commonly pursue Bomberman if he's nearby, though they do also get stuck if he's hiding nearby. They are associated with a Soft Block Pass power-up, and as such will appear when the stage Exit containing the power-up is bombed, or when the power-up is destroyed.

Minvos are quite easy to beat, just treat them like Onils, only you have to be quicker in getting it out. Since they're encountered after the Dahls (encountered on the third stage), you have probably got the Remote Bomb, so it will be a bit easier. Just evade the Bombs, though. They take 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 800 points.

Bomber Boy[]

Appears in Game B, a direct port of the NES Version. Behavior remains identical to its NES iteration. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 800 points.

Bomberman (TG-16)[]

In Bomberman (TG-16), they appear in Round 4. Their behavior and appearance is quite different from the original game, here they are portrayed as bouncy yellow smiley faces with their teeth being in better shape. Behavior-wise, they mirror many other enemies in the game like the Ballom. They take 1 hit to defeat and yield a score of 100 points.

Saturn Bomberman[]

In Saturn Bomberman, They are found in the Tower, in Master Mode. Minvo moves aimlessly at a moderate speed. It has a penchant of following the same path repetitively. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yield a score of 200 points.

Bomberman World[]

In Bomberman World, They appear only in the Challenge Mode. They take 1 hit to defeat and yield a score of 800 points.

Bomberman Party Edition[]

Appears in 1P Mode, remake of the NES Version. Except for its updated graphic on both retro and modern mode, its behavior remains unchanged. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 800 points.

It is called Minbow in the American manual.
