Kuwagen (クワゲン) is an enemy that appears in Super Bomberman.
Description[]
They appear to be beetles that act in a similar way.
They are found in Stage 3, Stage 4 and Stage 6. Kuwagen moves at a speed of 2 in a straight line, only changing directions when it collides with a block, bomb, or other enemy. It may choose to reverse directions even if it is not at a dead end. It will harm the player on collision and takes only 1 hit to beat.
When the player lines up horizontally or vertically with Kuwagen, and the two are within five tile spaces of each other, Kuwagen will pause briefly before dashing toward the player. Kuwagen will resume its normal movement pattern and speed upon colliding with an obstacle or if the player leaves its sight range.
Metal Kuwagen (メタルクワゲン, Metarukuwagen) is identical to Kuwagen in every way except of the different colors and it has two HP.

- The name "Kuwagen" comes from the Japanese word for "stag beetle", which is "kuwagatamushi".
