Kinkaru (キンカル, Kinkaru) is an enemy in the Bomberman series.

Description[]

It seems to be an extremely dangerous currency.

Super Bomberman[]

In Super Bomberman, Kinkaru is found in Stage 2, Stage 4 and Stage 6. It moves at a speed of 3, passing through Soft Blocks and changing directions at intersections, only changing directions when it collides with a Hard Block, bomb, or other enemy. It may choose to reverse directions even if it is not at a dead end. It seems to form a different path of movement based on the player's position on the map, displaying a habit of approaching the player, though this behavior is undocumented. It will harm the player on collision. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 1600 points.

Super Bomberman 5[]

In Super Bomberman 5, Kinkaru is found in Zone 1. It is more slower, does not respond to the players' locations, cannot phase through soft blocks, and only changes direction upon collision with bombs and walls. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 400 points.

Bomberman (N-Gage)[]

It is found in World 1. It moves fast and tends to pursue the player. It doesn't pass through Soft Blocks. It also can be spawned from an Exit if bombed. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 400 points.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Kinkaru" comes from the Japanese word "kinka", meaning "gold coin".
  • Kinkaru's appearance is very similar to the Curansee and Pontan.
