Hudson Soft was a Japanese corporation located in Tokyo Midtown, Akasaka, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Originally, Hudson Soft worked with computers, but soon evolved into video games and mobile content.

Hudson Soft was founded on May 18, 1973, by two brothers, Hiroshi and Yuji Kudo. They named their company from their favorite train, the Hudson locomotive. In March 1978, they began selling computer games.

On January 2011, Hudson Soft became a subsidiary company of Konami. On April 1, Konami liquidated Californian subsidiary Hudson Entertainment. On March 1, 2012, Hudson Soft officially ceased to exist as it merged with Konami Digital Entertainment, with its music business being absorbed into Konami Music Entertainment.
