Ovape (オバピー, Obapī), also known as Floatsam, is a recurring enemy in the Bomberman series.
Description[]
Bomberman (NES)[]
Ovape is typically a red (sometimes pink) ghost octopus that move through Soft Blocks. They are encountered after the Dorias. They chase after Bomberman, like Doria, Onil, Minvo, Pontan and Pass (mostly/sometimes they do, sometimes they don't), but due to their wall-pass abilities, they can cause problems. They are associated with a Bomb Pass power-up, and as such will appear when the stage Exit containing the power-up is bombed, or when the power-up is destroyed. Ovape will harm the player on collision. They take 1 hit to defeat and yield a score of 2000 points.
Bomber Boy[]
Appears in Game B, a direct port of the NES Version. Behavior remains identical to its NES iteration. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 2000 points.
Bomberman Party Edition[]
Appears in 1P Mode, remake of the NES Version. Except for its updated graphic on both retro and modern mode, its behavior remains unchanged. It takes 1 hit to defeat and yields a score of 2000 points.
It was named Floatsam in the American manual.
