Dark Prison is a level that appears in Bomberman Hero. It is the fifth level of Area 2 of the Primus Star, Primus Castle, and it can be accessed by completing either Millian Road or Warp Room. The Rank 5 target score for this level is 3000 (1000 for Japanese version).
The level requires to collect the 4 Key Crystals to open the Crystal Door (leading to the exit).
Layout[]
Dark Prison is a fairly large stage that is mainly dark in color. It is also easy to fall off this course and into the bottomless pit. The level have many cells protected by barriers, enemies and items are found inside them.
Objective[]
The main objective of this stage is to find the four Key Crystals in order to open the doors that lead to Nitros. The Key Crystals are scattered throughout the large level with some requiring careful jumps to get to. Remote Bombs are also used for the first time on this stage that can help take out some enemies and earn the target score. After getting the four Key Crystals, White Bomberman can confront Nitros once again and then access Clock Tower to rescue Princess Millian.

Japanese and Western Version Differences[]
Changes to the Western version:
- The cell behind-right of the start had its two blue gems replaced with a bomb powerup and pink gem.
- The cell directly left of the bombable moving platform had its two blue gems replaced with one pink gem.
- A Skull Bomb added in front of key crystal on top of one of the cells.
