The Cage (オリ) is a Normal Mode stage element that appears in the Super Bomberman 4 and Neo Bomberman.

Description[]

It functions as a Soft Block that releases a computer-controlled support Bomber upon destruction.[1]

The support Bomber wanders around the map, placing bombs and destroying Soft Blocks and enemies. It cannot pick up items, and usually tries to avoid destroying them. All support Bombers are invincible and have one Fire and one Bomb at their disposal. In Neo Bomberman, however, support Bombers have the Remote Control ability and will die if the timer reaches zero. In that game, the support Bomber is also worth a 5000 point score bonus once the stage is completed.

Only one Cage ever appears on a single map.

The Cages are found again in Bomberman Max. They appear in some stages and a Charabom is imprisoned inside. When the cage is blasted with a bomb (1 hit), the cage's door will be opened, and the Charabom will be released for the player to pick him up.
