Bridges are recurring traps in the Bomberman series.

Description[]

They typically span three tile spaces and may run horizontally or vertically, separating two distinct sections of the map. Bridges are essentially safe zones in that monsters may not enter them, bombs may not be set on them, and explosions will stop short of them.

In Bomberman '94 and Super Bomberman 4, monsters can cross bridges.

In Super Bomberman 2, bridges function in a completely different way than they do in later games. Bombs can be placed on them, and they can be destroyed with bomb blasts, creating an uncrossable gap between sections of the map, potentially creating an impossible stage clear scenario.

Other variations[]

In some Bomberman games, a special Hard Block, generally in a form of a tree, must be blasted in order to create a bridge. The then created bridge, will work similarly as a standard bridge.
