Bomberman World (ボンバーマンワールド, Bonbāman Wārudo) is an action video game developed and published by Hudson Soft and released for the Sony PlayStation in 1998. Prior to release in North America, a demo of Bomberman World was featured in PlayStation Underground Vol. 2.4.
Bomberman World was re-released for PC as part of Bomberman Collection in 2002 for Japan, and 2003 for North America.
Story
A long time ago, the evil Dark Force Bombers were defeated by heroic Bombermen and imprisoned inside Blue Crystals. In modern day, Bagura returns and to revive his followers. He transforms them and increases their powers before sending them out to conquer planets. Bomberman sees them fly by as he sits in his ship and takes off to challenge these foes.
Story Mode
The player must collect all the crystals in each stage to open the goal. Unlike other Bomberman games, the player does not have to defeat all of the enemies. There are five stages in each planet and five planets total. The last two stages are always boss stages: one against a bomber and the other against a monster.
