The game is presented with a special border if played on the Super Game Boy. There is anot

her border only seen in 2 players link up mode, but since the Super Game Boy doesn't have any linking options, it is only possible to see it by linking a Super Game Boy 2 with a Game Boy.

==Story==

The game begins with Bomberman flying through space in his spaceship with several cargo cells full of monsters. He's taking them back to Planet Bomber when his ship is suddenly attacked by four lights. The four pieces

of his engine are removed and Bomberman plummets from the sky into his engineless ship. The monsters escape into the unknown world and Bomberman must recapture them and find the four missing pieces of his [[File:Story_BQ.png|thumb|Opening Story]]engine.

==Gameplay==

As Bomberman you begin in a small village where your ship has wrecked. You have an item menu that lets you equip the items and accessories you need to access further parts of the levels. When Bomberman encounters a monster there is a small amount of dialogue between him and the enemy that sometimes hints at that enemy's weakness. The enemy has a health bar as well as Bomberman and he must reduce its HP to zero to capture it. Each monster leaves behind an item and when a monster is redefeated they will leave a heart in its place.

There are two endings to this game. If Bomberman defeats the Four Commanders and returns home without all the monsters you get the bad ending. If Bomberman defeats the Four Commanders and collects all the monsters, he must defeat the leader of the Commanders, [[Chaos Bomber]], before witnessing the true ending.
