Bomberman Hardball, also known as Bomberman Battles (ボンバーマンバトル) in Japan, is a sport game developed by Hudson Soft and released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004.

Gameplay[]

Unlike other Bomberman games, Bomberman Hardball has several sport games (Tennis, Golf, Baseball) available along with the traditional Battle Mode. Bomberman Hardball also features a new "Living Mode" where you can customize your own Bomberman with coins earned from playing games. The longer the game you finished, the more coins you earned (Watch Mode does not count).

Modes[]

Life Mode (ライブモ一ド)[]

From here, you can check on your very own custom Bomberman (which starts out as a plain White Bomberman). Press the Triangle button to bring up your Remote. With it, you can interact with objects in the room by pressing 1 of the 12 buttons on the Remote (9 if it's the European version), or exit the Life Mode. The room can also contain trophy that you have won in other game modes.

Trivia[]

  • As Bomberman Hardball was released in PAL territories before the Bomberman Land games received official localizations, the characters' English names differ: Shiro Bom (Cheerful White) became Ivory Bomber, Kuro Bom (Cool Black) became Star Bomber, Midori Bom (Bookworm Green) became Jade Bomber and Ao Bom (Kid Blue) became Blue Bomber; here, Pretty Bomber (Cute Pink), Gold Bomber (Giant Gold) and Racer Bomber were left intact from the original Japanese version. Also, some of the baseball team members have their names change.
  • In the Baseball game, all team members will have the same appearance as the team captain (A.K.A., the 7 main characters).
