Bomber Mermaid is a water-based bomber that first appeared in Bomberman Online as a participant of the BOMB-A-LYMPICS. She later appears as a member of the Bomber Shitennou in Bomberman Jetters, her name swapped to Mermaid Bomber.

Bomberman Online[]
In the game Bomberman Online, Bomber Mermaid is the leader of the Princess Mariners and boss of Submarine Rule, fought on Submarine Patrol Base. However, she is beaten by White.
Bomberman Jetters anime[]
In the Bomberman Jetters anime, Mermaid Bomber is the second of the Bomber Shitennou to face White Bomber. In episode 17, after Flame Bomber's defeat, she and Mujoe go to Daaraku Planet to recover the one-of-a-kind binoculars. However, due to her spoiled nature, they end up staying for three days extra after recovering the item.
Like Thunder Bomber, Mermaid Bomber was given an altered design for the anime. She has a more feminine and sultry appearance, with huge breasts, exposed legs and a skirt resembling her webbed flippers. She also has smaller fins on her head, fish scales on her clothing, and a large red jewel on her forehead. Her hair and hands are pink instead of orange, and her gloved hands are now human-shaped, with fingers. She has a huge and cute robotic dorsal fin on the back of her fishy dress, too. The only time we officially get to see her as a traditional mermaid with a pink mermaid tail is when she jumps out of the ocean to become a human on land during combat, just like in the original The Little Mermaid fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
Generally, she acts like a stereotypical high school girl; mockingly calling Mujoe her "papa" (which, after this, he starts treating the Bomber Shitennou as his children more than as henchmen), "borrows" his credit card, as well as other traits. However, upon meeting Birdy, she instantly falls in love, which causes arguments between her and "papa". She will often fake tears to get what she wants, and even refers to herself in third person, just to act cute. However, her selfish and annoying personality can still be seen as frustrating to other people, such as Shout, White Bomber, and even Mujoe, who she sees as her adoptive human father, which it eventually becomes annoying really fast, but she still gets surprisingly lonely about not having many friends outside of the sea, as she's tired of feeling left out, due to her being a mermaid-themed bomber.
At first, White Bomber isn't able to defeat her with his Fire Bomb and Burning Fire Bomb, but when Gangu and Bongo teach him how to use Thunder Bombs (named the "Sunrise Thunder Bomb" for their friendship), she was easily defeated. She then transformed back into Charaboms.
Interestingly enough, after her defeat, the hotel the Hige Hige built was named "Hotel Mujoe" and became Daaraku Planet's famous resort spot.
Overall, she may be selfish and annoying to other people, such as Shout, White Bomber, and even Mujoe, who she sees as her adoptive human father, but really, even she has a lonely side too, as she's tired of feeling left out, due to her being a mermaid-themed bomber. She may have an unrequited love interest in Birdy, but sadly, he cannot live in the sea with her permanently because he's a terrestrial alien.
Mujoe acts like a strict father figure to her in Bomberman Jetters, like King Triton was to Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid franchise.
Bomberman Jetters (game)[]
In the Bomberman Jetters video game, she is again a member of the Bomber Shitennou and appears as the 1st miniboss, fought on Area 1-3. Like all the 4 of the Bomber Shitennou, she also appears as a playable character in the Battle Mode. Her Killer Shot in Battle Mode removes all bombs present on the screen.

Bomberman Jetters Vol. 1[]
Appears as the 2nd boss, fought at the end of Stage 2-3. She jumps out of the water and occasionally pauses to summon 2-3 Dolphin Bombers from the water. She takes 8 hits to defeat. In the Bomberman Planet version, she doesn't appear anymore and got swapped with Malikkun instead.
Trivia[]
- She is one of two Bomberman Online characters to reappear in Bomberman Jetters, along with Thunder Bomber.
- While she spends most of her time in the water, she has legs and is able to walk, traits not typically associated with mermaids.
- However, the only time she is officially depicted as a traditional mermaid with a beautiful mermaid tail is when she jumps out of the ocean to become a human on land during combat in both versions of Bomberman Jetters.
- There was another version of Mermaid Bomber that appeared in Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden V. However, her appearance here is completely different.
- Like many OSTs from Bomberman Online, as well as previous Bomberman games, Mermaid Bomber's theme received an arrangement specifically for Bomberman Portable as the BGM for Jungle World.
