BomberPino (ボンバーピノ) is a portable Bomberman game released on mobile phones in Japan in 2023. It was made by Morinaga under the supervision of Konami. It is a crossover between the Pino chocolates and the Bomberman series.

Gameplay

Visit the BomberPino website to start the game (note this only works on mobile phones and will not play on PC.) Turn your screen horizontal and start the game. When you purchase box of the BomberPino chocolates, inside you will find a QR code. Once the game opens, it will access the camera on your phone and you can scan the QR code to begin the game. (Alternatively, you can just take random photos and try to bypass this without the code.)

You enter your name and choose the color of your character. There are two modes and two stages to choose from. You play a standard battle match for 5 minutes. Whoever survives or has the highest score when times runs out, wins. There are no Pressure Blocks in this game but there are Revenge Carts.

There are limited items in this game. You can collect a +1 item to increase your score, different chocolate bombs with preset fire power, and a bomb kick. Brown bombs have the lowest fire power, green bombs have improved fire power, and yellow bombs have the greatest fire power.

• The game was promoted alongside the release of Super Bomberman R 2 through a commemorative campaign from October 9 to November 23, 2023.
