Trivia[]
- His Japanese name, Debon, is a portmanteau of Debu, meaning Fat, and Bomb.
- The name "Debon" was submitted by Tachito Ooku from Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
- While Mega Bomberman was in development, Big Bomber was originally going to eat using a spoon from a pot if left idle during a match. In addition, he has an unused animation that has him doing his victory animation. These animations were scrapped as the game was finally out in 1995. This trait was later used by White Bomberman in a guidebook artwork for Super Bomberman 2, where he is shown full after eating many apples and ice cream, as seen in one of the pages of the guidebook.
- In his Bomberman '94 artwork, Big Bomber is shown to be holding a fork and a knife, though he never use them in battle.
