Aqua Bomberman (officially known as Aqua Bomber, and sometimes unofficially called Light Blue, Cyan or Teal) is a recurring character in the Bomberman series. She mainly appears as an alternate skin to allow for more players in multiplayer mode.

Personality[]

Aqua Bomber is a cute, blue-themed girly girl friend and sister of Pink Bomber. She is usually seen wearing an adorable aqua dress as her casual attire. She'll never remain in violence unless you make her angry and she'll punch you successfully if you don't listen to her own words thoughtfully.

Notable appearances[]

Aqua Bomber's first appearance was as a background element in Bomberman '93, which was followed by a playable appearance in Hi-Ten Bomberman and then an alternate color in Super Bomberman 2.

Aqua Bomber falls into the black hole along with her friends in Super Bomberman 4. She is captured by Jet Bomber and can be freed by the player by blowing up her Cage. She can then assist the player by planting bombs on the map.

After an appearance in Bomberman DS, Aqua reappeared in the trio of seventh-generation Bomberman titles Live, Blast, and Ultra.

Super Bomberman R[]

In Super Bomberman R, Aqua Bomber is finally given an official name and is identified as female alongside Pink Bomber. She is normally worried about causing violence and pain to others, but she comically snaps and uppercuts both Red Bomberman and Magnet Bomber for continuing to fight on Planet Technopolis, to which Black Bomber remarks that "she's scarier than anyone when she's angry".

In the latest version of Super Bomberman R and Super Bomberman R Online if special abilities are enabled she starts with Pierce Bombs along with 3 fire that can be maxed to 5, 1 bomb that can be maxed to 3, and 0 speed that can be maxed to 5. She cannot utilize Bomb Kick and Rubber Bombs.

In Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden, Aqua Bomber makes a minor appearance as Light Blue Bomber.

Land[]

In Bomberman Land Touch! 2, Aqua Bomber makes a minor appearance as Acrobat Aqua.

Trivia[]

Aqua Bomber in Super Bomberman R has an almost complete parallel to Red Bomber in the B-Daman series. Both are pacifists that hate fighting, but starts fighting people that annoy them. Both wear a ribbon on their heads, and both of them are said to love sewing. Aqua's characteristics might be a possible nod to her.
Aqua Bomber was featured as a playable character in Hill Climb Racing 2, available through a collaboration event with Super Bomberman R 2.
One of Aqua Bomber’s win quotes from Super Bomberman R was used as the caption for the Tweet revealing the front half of the Bomberman Youtooz plush.[1]
